Loma Media is backing community golf group Golf Buddies Society as the organisation prepares for two of the biggest dates in its calendar.
The Yorkshire-based company is sponsoring the society’s upcoming Major, a two-day event that will see over 40 players compete at Normanton Golf Club and Willow Valley Golf on 13 and 14 June.
Founded in 2014, Golf Buddies Society brings together golfers from across the region, promoting friendship, healthy competition and a shared passion for the sport in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Loma Media’s support reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities it serves and helping grassroots organisations continue to thrive.
Loma Media Managing Director Tidi Kwidini said: “At Loma Media, we believe strong communities are built through collaboration and shared experiences. Golf Buddies Society has created something genuinely special by bringing people together through sport.
“We’re proud to support both the Major and Captain’s Day and to play a small part in helping local initiatives like this continue to grow. Sponsoring community organisations is an important part of our commitment to making a positive impact beyond our day-to-day business.”
Golf Buddies Society Captain Paul Sedgwick added: “We’re delighted to have Loma Media on board as sponsor for two of our flagship events. Their support helps us make the experience even more memorable for all of our members and underlines the value of businesses investing in community-led activities.”
The company will also sponsor the society’s Captain’s Day later in the season, with members travelling to Durham for another two-day event on 3 and 4 October.
The June Major and October Captain’s Day are expected to be highlights of the society’s season, bringing members together for competitive golf and social events across some of the region’s most highly regarded courses.
